Capula, part of the Imtech group, is pleased to sponsor Staffordshire University’s prize for the best honours project undertaken by Computer Science students at the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science. This year the accolade was awarded to undergraduate student Rob Wells at the University’s prestigious ceremony in July.
Rob’s project involved developing a solution to produce music in a web browser using new web technologies. The judges noted the quality of Rob’s research and its potential to provide a real alternative to expensive software traditionally used by music industry professionals. The judges were also particularly impressed with the responsiveness of the application in a web browser.
Steve Tellwright, Capula’s HR Director commented, ‘We are proud to support the Capula prize which showcases the work of emerging talented individuals within the industry. I would like to congratulate Rob on winning this award and hope that it further boosts his confidence in developing his career.’
Capula has sponsored the award for a number of years and maintains excellent links with the University, recruiting a number of graduates each year through our successful graduate recruitment programme.
