Capula, part of the Imtech group, is pleased to sponsor two Staffordshire University prizes for outstanding achievement and a further prize for exceptional student work awarded by Newcastle Under Lyme College.
Following their graduation from Staffordshire University earlier this year, accolades were awarded to Richard Sandall for achieving the highest grade for his BSc (Hons) Software Engineering final year project as well as Capula’s own Engineer, Paul Crowder who achieved the highest grade for his BEng (Hons) Electrical Engineering final year project. College student, Josef Billington also won a Computing & IT Award at Newcastle under Lyme College (NULC), an award that was also sponsored by Capula for the first time this year.
Capula has sponsored student achievement awards for a number of years and maintains excellent links with both Staffordshire University and NULC. Many of the business’ recruits join us from these institutions and once on-board, Capula trainees undertake further courses to supplement their on-the-job training, often continuing to degree level and beyond.
“Congratulations to the three Capula award winners – we are proud to support the next generation of engineers,” commented Steve Tellwright, HR Director at Capula. “It was particularly pleasing this year for the prize to be awarded to one of our own young engineers, Paul Crowder, who not only excels in his role as an Engineer in Capula’s Nuclear team, but has also excelled academically too.”
