Capula has welcomed 15 young recruits over the last few weeks, the company’s highest intake in history, in line with its planned growth strategy. The intake of 15 includes 7 graduates, 1 apprentice, 5 trainees and 2 industrial placement students.
The trainees will cover roles in all five of Capula’s business streams as well as its central services team, under the mentorship and direction of time-served engineers and technical experts. All new recruits at Capula are encouraged to progress and reach their potential through a mix of on-the-job training and theoretical learning at nearby award-winning establishments Newcastle under Lyme College* and Staffordshire University* where they will undertake apprenticeship or foundation degree courses prior to completing their final degrees.
As Capula is part of the Imtech Group, the new starters will automatically be enrolled on the Imtech Graduate & Trainee Development Programme which provides an opportunity to learn and develop leadership qualities and soft skills alongside colleagues from Imtech’s other nationwide businesses. All employees also benefit from Capula’s corporate partnership status with both the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IET) and the Chartered Institute for IT (BSC) which means they will be supported and encouraged to achieve professional accreditations to Chartered Engineering or Chartered IT Professional status.
Sally Parker, who joined as a Junior Engineer in Capula’s IT department commented, “I’m really pleased to be joining Capula and begin the next step in my career. I’m excited to have been given an opportunity to develop a wide variety of skills including software development and cyber security skills in real-life situations.”
